The 65-000-square foot grocery store on Route 6 is officially open to the public following a long wait in the busy shopping center. The newly renovated building comes after years of planning and discussion between local, county and state officials.
The new store replaces the smaller ShopRite location in the area, and is expected to create more than 60 new jobs as the old team transitions to the new location.
ShopRite will include chef-prepared Asian cuisine, a double-sided Blend Smoothie Bar, a cafe, local food and other amenities.
“We have a beautiful brand new state of the art facility with some of the best people you’ll ever meet,” Tom Urtz, the Vice President of Operations for ShopRite, said. “All the familiar faces from down the street, at one of the finest facilities in Westchester County.”
